Both sides of this road make for excellent skating. The West side of Germantown is the more commonly skated side and is roughly 2.5 miles long. It’s got some very fun corners but the pavement is slightly rougher than the East side of this road. If you take Germantown towards the St. John’s Bridge then you will have roughly 1.3 miles of skating. This side of the hill is much smoother but the layout is similar. Although these are very fun hills to skate the traffic on this road makes it particularly dangerous. Make sure and avoid skating this hill during rush hour due to the heavy commuter traffic. The East side of Germantown also has many pullouts where joggers/hikers park so there are many cars pulling out on the road at random times. Germantown is a very fun road but you must make sure and exercise extreme caution while skating it.
