Post Can the ipad be my main computer?

I'm thinking of buying a macbook pro for college but the ipad also calls my attention. can the ipad be a main computer or does the ipad need a regular mac?

please explain why. thanks in advance ipad 2 covers ipad2case leather ipad 2 cases

well the i pad is really cool, how ever there are no USB ports on it ): so you dont have all of the features you may need
