When it rains, it pours. When it pours, skaters skate Burnside. Sometimes we skate the Burnside skatepark when it’s not raining. Billy Bones and newly relocated New Mexican David Angelus shredded up the park last week. It was a fun sesh that lasted for hours. Here are some highlights. I shot a few photos at one particular quarter pipe which Mr. Angelus wanted me to shoot.
David Angelus has only been in Portland for a short while. He’s been recovering from a toe injury up until now. There is certainly going to be some shredding coming from this guy, both on a longboard and short one. I can’t wait to see it.
Billy Bones has been getting better and bigger at Burnside. Without any signs of stinking it up with the bug, he blasts into the air off the vertical quarter pipe and into the pocket.
With Halloween coming up soon, Burnside should be getting a new paint job soon. The park will take on a new look and a new slickness for a while as well. In addition to the slickness of the paint, sometimes the rain blows in and some of the park is very slick and un-skate-able.
