When WinSport Canada brought the 2009 Paskapoo Downhill Rodeo back to Calgary, it was hailed as one of the best longboarding events ever by riders, sponsors and industry leaders alike. With one of the largest prize purses in the world and a venue that offers a private road, high-speed chairlift, giant screens and high definition race footage, WinSport Canada is working hard to get longboarding out of the alleys and into the spotlight.

In 2011, WinSport Canada is proud to begin a new partnership with the International Gravity Sports Association (IGSA) to bring the IGSA World Cup Tour to Canada for the launch of the WinSport Canada Cup September 2-4th, 2011.

Participants can look forward to everything that worked in 2009, plus the added professionalism and stellar reputation of the IGSA as the Sanctioning body and facilitator for the race.

At $12,000, the prize purse will remain one of the largest on the North American circuit. And if that isn’t enough to lure the best riders to the event, WinSport Canada will also be offering the full-day free ride, rider meals, live action web-cast, DJ’s, bands, demo village and of course, beer gardens.
