This last weekend consisted of two of the most fun skate/bike events of the year. First was the Skatical Mass organized by Saul T. Scrapper and the rest of the Roller Derby crew. The crowd gathered near the Naito Fountain where we hung out for a bit talking skate stuff. Once the crew was ready we rolled out and mobbed all around SW and SE Portland. It was pretty awesome seeing a diverse crowd of bikes, skateboards, and rollerskates cruising around and enjoying the sunshine. Here are a couple pics that I managed to take during the ride.
The second awesome/fun ride of the weekend was the World Naked Bike Ride. Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera on me so I wasn’t able to snap any photos (probably for the best). If you haven’t participated in the WNBR then you owe it to yourself to do it at least once. It’s pretty hard to describe how fun it is to skate naked all around Portland with thousands of other naked people. Mark this on your calendars for next year! You’ll be happy you did it. Here are a few photos I found on Bike Portland taken by Jonathan Maus.
